Our laboratory welcomes new members. Below we give some advice on how to join us in Salamanca
Openings
Postdoctoral Scientists: We do not have any lab-funded postdoctoral positions. However, candidates who may wish to apply to their own funding are welcome to send an email to Alvaro, which ideally will include a cover letter explaining their interest in our lab, and an updated CV. Examples of such fellowships include:
PhD students & Technicians: We do not have any funding for PhD students at the momet. Candidates who may be able to secure their own fellowship and who may be interested in joining us are welcome to contact Alvaro. In that case, please send an email to Alvaro, explaining your scientific interests and why you think our lab would be a good fit for you. A few such fellowships exist in Spain, for instance:
Masters Students: We are open to recruiting Masters students who may wish to conduct their Master's Thesis (TFM) in our lab.
Summer Students & Interns: Please note that, per lab policy, every lab member is either a worker who is paid a salary, or a student getting credit towards graduation. We do not accept unpaid interns (except those from a public, accredited professional education institution with whom we might have an agreement) or volunteers. We are also highly unlikely to accept summer students from outside institutions.
Important: Folks who are considering working in our lab are encouraged to contact current and former lab members to learn more about our group, our lab culture and, most importantly, their experience working with us, to help them gauge if our lab will be a good fit for them.
- The Juan de la Cierva contract, for recent PhDs who have defended their PhD thesis in the past two years. A call will open in January.
- Marie Sklodowska Curie (MSC). A call should open in 2024.
